Lessons worth sharing. Under this motto, TED Ed has allowed the creation of more than 250 thousand lessons and has answered more than 15 million questions since its emerging in 2012. The platform makes it possible to share and customize video lessons, and has become a huge – and ever expanding – library of online classes.
TED Ed can be used by teachers and students for posting new videos or editing any video available on YouTube, converting them into teaching tools. The possibilities of customization range from the insertion of comments and questions, to the intervention with polls and other interactive learning solutions. Videos can be shared both publicly and privately, and it is possible to map the content’s reach within your group of students or by users and other viewers around the world.
On the website it is also possible to watch the video lessons produced by Ted Ed’s team of collaborators. These lessons are short animations developed by a multidisciplinary team of teachers, designers, animators, journalists, writers, and other professionals.
