Held for the first time in 2016, with more than 132 thousand Brazilian students, the research Nossa Escola em Re (Construção) – Our School in (Re) Construction, in portuguese – was expanded in 2017: now the survey is available to be applied, for free, by schools and education institutions throughout the country.
The research is an initiative of Porvir and Rede Social do Conhecimento and aims to reflect on the education offered in schools today and give voice to the wishes of students concerning education.
To apply the research, aimed at students from 11 to 21 years old, educators and school managers need only disclose the link to the online survey, available at Porvir website. When a minimum of 50 responses is reached, they can request a report with the results. The website also offers media and communication kits, with guidelines for awareness campaigns and school community mobilization, and every step of the process from application to the communication of results. The first edition of the research collected the opinion of students between 13 and 21 years old, during three months, on aspects such as infrastructure, activities, food, relationship between students and teachers, use of technology, extra class activities, among others. Participants also indicated which aspects of schools would make them happier or better contribute to their learning.
